An update on Griffin Communications negotiations with Dish There is a lot of misinformation out there about Griffin Communications negotiations with Dish. Here are the facts. Griffin sent a good faith offer to Dish Friday evening and we have not heard back despite almost 48 hours passing. Because of this we have not reached an agreement. We have been trying to negotiate with Dish for several months to no avail. Dish’s behavior is consistent with how they’ve handled the more than 144 local stations and dozens of cable networks that they have dropped over the last two years. The most recent being Fox News. All we are asking is for DISH agree to the terms as our other cable agreements, which we have successfully negotiated. We’ve never been in a situation like this before, but as a local, family-owned business, we have to stand up for what we believe is the right thing to do so we can continue to serve the local community.
