“And forgive us our debts, As we forgive our debtors” Some - TopicsExpress

“And forgive us our debts, As we forgive our debtors” Some versions of this verse of the scripture say, “forgive our trespasses, as we for those who trespass against us” and yet another translation is, “forgive us our sins, as we forgive those who sin against us”. The one common denominator in these verses is to FORGIVE AS WE ARE FORGIVEN! We cannot see the salvation, grace, mercy and purpose of GOD if we are harboring ill feelings in our heart like an escape convict looking to do us harm. We have to let go, we have to love, we have to forgive... Matthew 18:21-22 (NKJV) “Then Peter came to Him and said, “Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Up to seven times?” Jesus said to him, “I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven.” Be able to forgive even when it hurts is a divine attribute of Jesus because one of the last things He did on the cross was ask GOD to “forgive them for they do not know what they do” (Luke 23:34)… GOD clear our hearts today from the past hurts.. teach us to forgive those that have done us wrong, lied on us, cheated us, abused us, stole from us, hurt us to our core.. Right now GOD, we release that pain, the hurt, we release the past and we forgive that person or people right now GOD… now, we repent for our shortcomings, failures and sins….
