And the day just keeps getting better - thanks to Jeremy Cady for his genuine and heartfelt endorsement. From Jeremy Cady - So here is something I dont usually do. As I am sure all of you know, I am running for public office. I have yet to endorse any other candidate for office because I feel it is important to commit myself to those I seek to represent. With that being said I wanted to share my thoughts and opinions on another race that is going on in my district. That race is for State Representative of the 23rd House District. At first, I was supportive of the Supervisor of Brownstown, Andy Linko. I attended a fundraiser for him and learned about what he wanted to bring to the House. As the campaign season went on, campaigns have solicited me for support and money just as they do every other voter. There was one person who did not. That was David Haener. I didnt pay much attention to Daves campaign because I didnt really take the time to learn about him. A few months ago, I ran into Dave at a event in our district. I jokingly asked Dave why he or his campaign hasnt came to me and asked for support. Dave told me You have your own campaign to run, I wouldnt ask you to take time away from that to help me. That answer made me really think. I started to look into Daves campaign and what he stands for and I am disappointed that I didnt get onboard sooner. I am not saying one candidate is better than the other but what I am saying that in my opinion, David Haener has what I am looking for in a State Representative. He shares many of the same ideas as I, he believes in hard work and taking care of each other, but most importantly he looks at people on an individual basis. He actually listens to what you say and identifies you as a person, not just as a vote. He identified me and what I was doing, took into account that I had my own things going on and respected it. Dave Haener will have my vote this August to be my next State Representative and I encourage you to look in to your candidates for all the races you will be voting on and pick the best candidate for YOU.
