*Angry Rant Warning* Today I met a super terrible foreigner. I was waiting in line to get some food and the American or Canadian girl in front of me asked the girl at the cashier for two sundaes in English. The girl misheard her and said you want two (something else I couldnt hear)? The foreigner girl then rolled her eyes looked to the guy beside her and gave him this super belittling look like as if she was saying this girl is so stupid. Then she turned back to the Korean cashier and said umm what? NO! laughed at her and said in super ridiculously slow english while yelling I W-A-N-T T-W-O S-U-N-D-A-E-S and laughed again. The Korean cashier girl looked so upset and kept looking down. WTH, seriously??? You go to another country use a language that isnt the @#$@ing native language of the country and then get mad when the person didnt hear you?? You act like theyre stupid? I am so angry... I cant believe this person. First of all she should be speaking Korean! If she cant then she should at least appreciate when someone makes an effort to understand her and answer her in their second language. Secondly, there is no reason to treat someone like that no matter what!! I was so shocked... The worst part is that I didnt even say anything. Hypocrite, right? I spoke Korean to the girl when I ordered after but I did nothing to stand up for her when that ignorant foreigner was so rude. So I am partially to blame too. I need to grow a backbone, because the more I think about it the more angry I feel and the more I wish I had said something. Next time I see this ridiculous behaviour I will not keep my mouth shut.
