Announcement: "Democrat" is a noun. It is neither an adjective, nor the name of any political party. References to "the Democrat Party" drive me nuts as just one more example of the deft ways in which the Right has co-opted our very language in their mission to dumb Americans down far enough to keep voting against their own interests. And that the media let them get away with this crap is almost worse.
