Announcing the first annual Springfield Family History Day! Saturday, March 15, 2014 10 am to 4 pm Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints 3601 Buckeye Drive Connecting the Past to the Present A full day of presentations and hands on activities! Learn how to search for your ancestors, share your heritage with family, and preserve historic materials. The day will include RootsTech* presentations on the latest technology research, organization and preservation techniques along with classes presented by local experts. The Springfield Family History Center will be open to demonstrate scanning and attaching pictures and documents to your Family Tree; provide opportunities to learn indexing and begin immediately to index records that will be made available to the public. The Springfield Family History Day is free and lunch will be provided. There is no charge but we encourage prior registration at tinyurl/famhistconf.
