Anon asks My 20month old DS hasnt slept through the night more than a handful of times. Hes never been a good sleeper or napper. Weve had a set bedtime routine since shortly after he was born. He sleeps in his own bed in his room. He falls asleep around 8pm after we rock him or lay him down and pat his butt. He has never ever fallen asleep on his own Some nights he only wakes up once, others every 1-2h. He stopped nursing around 15m and doesnt want anything other than to be rocked back to sleep. He climbs out of his crib and comes into our room just wants to be put back down. He doesnt want to sleep with us ( nor has co-sleeping ever worked for us). He gets plenty of activity during the day. Hes a happy, healthy child but he just wont sleep for more than a few hours! Im pregnant again and this getting up every couple of hours is harder than ever on me. Im also worried about how things will be when Ill have a newborn and a toddler that doesnt sleep. Has anyone gone through something similar? We already follow the normal suggestions: bedtime routine, own room/bed, sound machine. Thank you!
