Another Sunday morning and start of another week.....Last weekend, Dale Earnhart won the Daytona 500 on the same track that his Dad won on so many times before him! Had to know that he was looking over him with pride huh? The Olympics have come to an end with pretty good showing from USA (esp. hockey)! Baseball practice continues in Fla and Arizona......Chicago opened a brand new stadium in Mesa, AR this week and it is beautiful!!! Exhibition games will start will start soon! All of you that live close to these areas have fun attending....especially those in Tampa with the Yankees! They are losing their Capt. Derek Jeter to retirement and heres hoping that they have a better yr!! Well what are your thoughts on the comments that the National Anthem is too hard to sing and should be changed??! Maybe we should ask Francis Scott Key who wrote it as Old Glory flew over the battlefield and inspired him to compose it??!! Some things are meant to be as they are and never altered!!!! And this is one of them...! Also children arent allowed to recite the Pledge the Alliance and now they want to not allowed the wearing of T-shirts that have flags and patriotic themes on them......What next? Oh yes they want public to not sing the National Anthem at games and certain functions.....Every time I hear the National Anthem or say the Pledge, my heart fills with pride and I get goosebumps because Im proud to be American and have the freedom that our troops preserve for us EVERYDAY!!!!!! Just wonder whats next.....Well all you Downton Abbey fans, we will have to wait till next season to see if Bates did kill that creep, who Mary will choose...wow 3 suitors at once, and what will happen to Downton! Its fun watching the history change with time passage! Good show PBS! The weather continues to be challenge and more so for the New Yorkers!! Hope you will be ok come Spring and not be subject to flooding! Remember 1972 and how bad it was? Corning had water halfway up their downtown bldgs and everyone was affected! This whole country has an awful winter....snow as far down as Georgia and Arizona!! But my dears take heart as some people are seeing ROBINS.....yes and they are the harbingers of Spring!! Cmon Spring....bring the greens, pinks, lilacs, etc as we ALL have waited patiently long enough!!! Well here I am blabbing away again huh? Just want to send good luck, Godspeed, and positive prayers to all in need!! I know of some who are waiting to find out what is the matter with their spouses and more this week that are dealing with the loss of loved ones!! So sorry for these losses....May God bring you through your personal storms and bring you comfort! Peace out FB peeps.....Have a really good week!
