Another block buster of a project launched by the Government, the Food Security Bill. Opens up the making of a huge scam few years down the road, by which time Rs. Ten lac crore ($200 Billion ?) of tax payer moneys would have been spent. The CAG would come in then to unearth the scam. This time around, just for protection of the decision makers, why dont we bring in the CAG before launch, from the very beginning, like a concurrent auditor, and have them look at decisions as they are taken and implemented? This would ensure a no scam project . Very often the decisions taken are not wrong at the point of time, but look like corruption at another later time.
