Another day at the V.A.: I had a new Intake Nurse screening me, and decided to add a little humor to the standard questions... Nurse: I see youre a Combat Veteran with PTSD and Chronic Depression - so, I have to ask you a few questions - o.k.? Me: Sure, ask me anything! Nurse: Are you having thoughts of hurting yourself or others? Me: Nope, Id never hurt myself or consider suicide - ever - and I would never hurt anyone - unless I was legally authorized by proper authority! Nurse: What do you mean by that? Me: Oh, well, IF I was authorized legally to hunt-down, capture or kill the enemies of America - I would hurt others, but I doubt Ill ever be fit-to-fight again! Nurse: So, who would you kill? Me: Id start with Americas worse Domestic Enemies - Republican Leaders, at the Federal, State, County and Local levels! Nurse: (Giggling) Oh, youre just joking! Me: Nope, No, Nada, Im really NOT joking - IF I was authorized legally, Id hunt down and kill every damn lying, cheating, thieving, selfish, greedy Republican in America - and Id work my way through every member of every hate group too! Nurse: (Shocked look) Could you really bring yourself to do that? Me: What business do you think the U. S. Armed Forces are in? Thats what they train to do - defend America from ALL Enemies BOTH Foreign and Domestic! Keep in mind, I was being compassionate - I said Republican Leaders - I would spare most of the common everyday registered Republicans, because theyve been brain-washed and just dont know any better! Nurse: So, o.k., you are NOT contemplating Suicide or Homicide - today? Me: Not today - NOT at this time - and we both laugh!
