Any time we do a renovation job we always have to be ready for surprises. On this job in Redding we found a few. The steps in the front of the house were falling apart and were unsafe, as was the patio in the back. Little did we know that under the bluestone there were voids between the cinder block that were three feet deep as well as another small foundation that was part of the basement. We busted up all the block to fill in the space and filled the rest with crushed stone then rebar, and we used a renovation cantilever form around the wall on the outside. The patio was extended out into the yard to accommodate a hot tub. Awesome transformation of the space for this customer.
