Apparently many Black Belts think that unless Master Cho asks them to come, they do not need to come to belt tests as they were not invited. This is not the way it is. You are by default invited to all events and your presence is noted and appreciated. Your absence leaves a sense of sadness. Not coming to support fellow members during their promotion tests, be it at the side in uniform or in a suit up front (based on how many members show up to support...bring uniform and a suit), should be the exception and not the rule. It is up to you to decide how important it is to you of course, but keep in mind how important it is to those testing and to the K.S. Cho dynamic as a Martial Arts school, and to you as member of this family...our family. Is it time out of your busy day? Of course. Is it easy to sit and listen to many speeches, be they short, long, boring or invigorating and insightful? Not always, but you get out if it what you put into it. Come, listen, support, cheer and applaud or just watch and contemplate how lucky we all are to be part of this terrific group of people....this TaeKwonDo family!
