Are We Ready For The Reappearance Of Imam Mahdi (AS)? So, the big question…how many of us are actually ready for the reappearance of our Imam (AS)? No doubt, some of us on a daily basis implore Allah to quicken the reappearance of our 12th Imam. Yet, are we willing to drop everything and answer him when he calls unto us? Are we ready to fight alongside our Imam (AS) when he comes? Can we give up our worldly desires? Our TV, the computer, school work, friends, our home, our bed, video games, or anything else you love to pieces? Because the worse situation would be if we call upon our Imam to come over and over again, and then guess what? He comes! Then what? We all know that day is coming Inshallah. What will you do? The Imam will say you called for me to come, so here I am. What will you say? We have to learn from history as it repeats itself! We cannot be like those we condemn every Muharram! On that day of Ashura, Imam Hussain (AS) called out “Hal min nasirin yansurna…Is there anyone left out there to help me?” And every year when we commemorate Ashura, we state “Yaalaytani kuntu ma’akum fa afuza fawzan adheema…If only I had been with you and achieved a great success” What is that saying? Every year on Ashura, we are answering that call of Imam Hussain (AS) by saying that if we were there on Ashura, we surely would’ve helped the Imam with his battle of Truth against Falsehood. My question is….would we? We are are being given a second chance here. We were not there at the time of Ashura, but we are here today to answer the call of Imam Mahdi (AS) when he asks if anyone is out there to help him. If we are not even ready to help the Imam of our time, how can we tell Imam Hussain that we would’ve helped him on Ashura? Isn’t that being hypocritical? We couldn’t answer the call of Aba Abdillah (AS)…but we can surely answer the call of Imam Mahdi (AS).
