Are they afraid of AIMIM growing popularity may fade their popularity among so called secular leaders? A person speaking truth is a traitor? Maulana Arshad Madni, president, Jamiat Ulama-I-Hind, who was in the city to attend a press conference on national integration and gathering of religious leaders, said at the press meet on Friday that the Owaisi brothers were traitors. The criticism came when a reporter asked him about the nature of the language used by Owaisis. Madni was criticising Hindu right wing leaders, who, he said, were openly targeting Muslims. Owaisis are traitors. They do this to ensure MIM get some seats in Hyderabad, said Madni at the Marathti Patrakar Sangh.Other religious leaders who attended the meeting were: Jain community leader Acharya Hemchandra Suri Maharaj; Satnam Das of Sanatan Dharma and Savio Fernandes, Auxiliary Bishop of Archdiocese of Bombay. All of them are expected to address a rally on Friday evening at Lakdawala ground in Kurla. There are a lot of misgivings about Madrasas. Even Muslims do not know much about them. We are telling our people to invite well known people in other communities to Madrasas so that they will know what exactly happens there, said Madni. What is needed is a Swacha Atma campaign. Where there is love, there is God. If we fight, we end up hurting the same father, said Fernandes. No religion preaches violence. During the Peshawar attack, what they did was killing the soul, said Heemchand. When dna contacted, Warrish Pathan, MLA of All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) from Mumbai, said: Its wrong on his part to say something like that. I am on my way to attend his evening function. He may say whatever he wants. Its a democracy. We are secular people. Proud to be Indian and proud to be Muslim. I was the first to oppose Ashish Shellars statement against Gulzar Azmi of his organisation.
