Are you a graduating senior in Wayne County? Could you use some money for college? Check into the Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship. It was established in 1998 and has been awarded to 35 Wayne County graduates over the past 16 years. This scholarship is the most prestigious award the Foundation issues. The scholarship will fund full tuition, required fees, and an allocation of up to $900 per year for required books and equipment for four years of full-time undergraduate study leading to a baccalaureate degree at any Indiana public or private college or university accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. The program is open to all Wayne County residents who will have graduated by the end of June 2014 from an accredited Indiana high school The scholarship applicant must be accepted to a full-time baccalaureate course of study beginning in the fall of 2014 at an accredited Indiana public or private university or college The scholarship applicant must have a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average on a 4.0 scale at the time of application.
