Are you still confused about the future of the music industry ? We all know it has declined --- from $15bn worldwide recorded music sales in 1999 down to $6.5bn in 2014. And though there is a lot of artist discontent with streaming, clearly, streaming is just getting started. This speech at MIDEM this year makes a strong argument that the music industry will grow to reach $100 billion/year in the next 10 - 15 years. This means musicians, labels and everyone involved will be making good money, or at least a lot more than we have made in the past. Wishful thinking ?
