Argument #1 - They should not continue to pay an interim - TopicsExpress

Argument #1 - They should not continue to pay an interim superintendent while paying Gallizzi. Argument #2 - If Gallizzi obtained another favorable review it would have extended his contract, costing the district a lot more money. Argument #3 - The current board members (4 out of 5) want to resolve this issue so that the new board members can get the fresh start they deserve. #1 and #2 - To assume that Gallizzi would have obtained a favorable review is not only asinine, it only shows that they KNEW he wouldnt have obtained this and therefore his expensive contract would not have been renewed and would have cost the district LESS. Mrs. Winbushs salary at this time is nowhere near Gallizzis and thus far, she has demonstrated respect and consideration for parents and staff. Many of us believe the raise for her interim is fair. We dont all earn $1,100 per hour like the lawyer that beat around the bush for half an hour today, but we are not idiots and it is plain to see that this was a tactic to ensure that Gallizzi made out with plenty of money before his friends are removed from the board. Which leads to #3 - I find it hard to believe that incumbents have the new board members best interest in mind. Especially when this meeting was called without true community notification and our opinions mattered little to the 4 that approved it. Even Assemblyman Steve Fox implored the board to refrain from making this decision, and to allow the new board members to take a look at this release contract. How do you justify over a quarter million dollars being granted when our district is in financial need? How do you explain the lack of morals and ethics to the children of PSD who sit on old carpets, who do not have hallway lockers and who must carry their gym clothes in their back packs every day because they must share lockers in the locker room? How do you explain the lack of musical instruments and supplies for teachers, custodial, kitchen and office staff? Could this money have covered the cap the teachers were asking for? but were denied because there is no money? Hmmmm, interesting how money appears at the most convenient times. Who will be held liable if not Gallizzi? Our community members are onto the game and they will not allow for all this to go away. Yes, the campaign is over but WE are not making this about politics. We simply want answers!! We didnt get those today but we are far from the finish line, and we are more than ready for the marathon!!!
