As a Historian that has looked at this, and heard both sides: Lee - TopicsExpress

As a Historian that has looked at this, and heard both sides: Lee Harvey Oswald killed John Kennedy, and Oswald acted alone. I know its hard to believe that a small, insignificant man could kill so easily the most powerful man in the world, so randomly; but one must remember that this is not unusual. Charles Giteau was a small, insignificant man, troubled by mental illness, and he killed James Garfield. Leon Czolgosz was a small insignificant man, troubled by mental illness, and he killed William McKinley. If you want to know the randomness of assassinations, the seemingly illogical coming together of circumstances, Gavrilo Princip first missed with the bomb he intended to kill Franz Ferdinand with, then departed the scene- after a time, Franz Ferdinands car got lost, and actually went passed Princip again by mistake...And he killed him- starting WWI. And even if you want to say that 1963 was a different time, and security was better, think of this: a small, insignificant, and mentally troubled man named John Hinckley Jr. nearly killed Ronald Reagan in 1981. The fact that Oswald acted alone, and that he killed John Kennedy is not a leap of logic at all, and it is often hard to accept the randomness that can be History, but it is History none the less.
