As a Regional Lifeguard or Beach Ed Instructor you will attempt to educate and protect the coastal population during the busy summer months. The process and timeline for this year’s intake will be: 1. Applications open: 1st August 2013 2. Applications close: 20th September 2013 at 5pm 3. Regional Lifeguard Trial Date: 19th October 2013 4. Offers of employment: 15th November 2013 (Beach Ed offers may be earlier) 5. Training/Induction Days: TBC In order to apply for a Summer Staff position you must: 1. Be legally allowed to work in New Zealand 2. Hold either a SLSA Bronze medallion or SLSGB Beach Lifeguard Award 3. Hold a current First Aid Level 1 or Work Place First Aid equivalent qualification - You will need to know the date you last completed the relevant first Aid qualification These are great roles for anyone interested in earning some extra cash over the summer as well as gaining some invaluable experience and having fun! surflifesaving.org.nz/summerstaff
