As a member of the House Aviation Subcommittee, I am pleased to see the Evansville Regional Airport awarded a $13.7 million Department of Transportation grant to help with the runway expansion project. Expanding our runway here in Evansville is vital for travel safety and economic growth. Increasing the number of passengers we have flying in and out of the area will have a positive impact on the local economy and community.
