As a young historian I must say im trully disappointed by the new minster of basic education Phanyasa lesifwi. How can he proposed that bantu education must come back,Whereby we will have to option either you finish school in grade 9 with a certificate&go and look for a job,or you finish grade 12. Has he lost it? Bantu education was used in the 1976 due to the fact that south africa was ruled by the afrikaaner government. By now that we have defeated apartheid opportunities are plenty south african education is better. Then why would he want our young brothers and sisters to finish school in grade 9? He is adding fire on fire. I hope the deputy president Cyril Ramaphosa can oppose this idea because he knows exactly where South African education come from. Some of our grannies and grandfathers have the bantu education grade 9 certificate,the only job they could get was to work for a white person in a farm,where they were treated as sub-humans. Hope this option can be opposed.
