As an agency with a portion of our employee base being Millennials (did you know the Millennial generation extends to the age of 33?), we asked our Sr. Manager of Talent, Karen Curran to share her thoughts on the Tribunes article regarding the frustration HR execs have with the Millennial generation. Millennials have a passion for volunteerism and giving back to their communities. Providing them with those opportunities can result in increased employee satisfaction as well as an increase in a company’s bottom line. Millennials are also very eager to learn. Providing them opportunities to grow and develop their skills can serve to increase their engagement resulting in a more productive workforce – and increased retention. The flip side of this is their digital/social knowledge, coupled with their desire to change the status quo. We at All Terrain like to challenge the status quo. We acknowledge individual strengths and allow for opportunity to teach those of us that are “technically/digitally challenged”. The result?
