As i was leaving walmart tonight, i noticed the vehicle parked a couple spots down from mine had a flat tire. The lady who the vehicle belonged to was looking at the tire, and looked like she could use some help. I noticed she had 2 kids in her car, who by the yelling i could hear sounded pretty tired and crabby. I decided to step out of my comfort zone and see if i could help her at all. She said she didnt know how to put her spare tire on, so she accepted my help. I started working on the tire and she sat down to warm up and be with the kids. When i finished putting her spare tire on she made a comment about how there are atill good people in this world, she must have sensed my confusion, because she shared with me how she is currently going through a pretty nasty divorce. Her husband is leaving her for another woman and he is taking everything accept the kids, because he wants nothing to do with them. She then shared how she felt so hopeless because she had relied on this guy for everything and suddenly he was ending it all. I then asked this lady, whos name is Ashley, if i could pray for her, as through all of my struggles it has seemed to be the one thing to always comfort me. She was alright with that, so i then proceeded to pray for Ashley. I prayed for strength for her, to keep keep pushing on remembering that better things are yet to come. I prayed for her to be an example of strength for her 2 boys, and for peace above all situations. I am posting this not to flaunt myself, please dont think i am doing this for attention because this isnt about me, i posted this rather to ask that if you are someone who believes in prayer, that you pray for Ashley, and her two boys Zach, and Andrew. This is a sad and unfortunate situation she and her boys are in, but I strongly believe there is a God, and I believe he has a plan for all of this.
