There they fervently called on their government to finish the job and end Palestinian rocket attacks once and for all. Hate to break it to you Israelis, but your anger is completely misplaced. If you want the rockets to stop you should demand that your government stop its brutal occupation and relentless jihad against the Palestinian People. If we absolve ourselves from the role Israel plays in perpetuating this conflict, we equally absolve ourselves from advancing the discussion to a level that analyzes preventative measures that can be taken to promote peace. Every day Palestinians are subjected to maltreatment and humiliation. Every day Palestinians are hungry and impoverished as a result of Israels blockade on Gaza. Every day Palestinians are subjected to apartheid roads and checkpoints, severely disrupting their day-to-day life and creating unnecessary burdens on their people. When you discriminate against a race of people, it is only natural that they will resent and lash out against the group responsible for enforcing their unfair treatment. Every single day Israel is initiating force and violence on Palestinians. Only someone who is incapable of viewing Palestinians as human beings would have the nerve to continue blaming Palestinians for defending themselves. You will never, ever get the Palestinians to accept that they are 2nd class citizens. You will never, ever convince Palestinians that they dont have a right to exist. The desire to be free and equal will never be suppressed so long as the Palestinians continue to survive. If the rockets are to stop, Israel must do one of two things: She must either slaughter every single Palestinian living in the Strip, or she must stop suppressing the Palestinian People and let them live freely and fairly. Israel must choose domination or peace, she will not be afforded both and this is a fact Israelis and her supporters must accept if they wish to live a life free from violence.
