As much as Ive enjoyed researching and writing my next and first full-length novel, A God of War, Ill be happy to be done with it and never have sleepless nights thinking about aliens, secret societies and never to hear that word conspiracy again. However, I find it incredulous that the masses are not perturbed by an increasing surveillance culture and, in light of the recent whistle-blowers, nobody stopped to think: Hey, they know everything about everyone now yet they led us to believe that they couldnt find a bearded man in a cave for nearly a decade. Well, as Machiavelli once said: keep your friends close and your enemies closer - or, better yet, just go ahead and create a Bogeyman! Im more afraid of the fact that the masses believe everything they are told rather than the latest Bogeyman. After theyve exhausted their list of enemies, I wonder who is going to be next. Aliens?
