As my son gets older I realize how the simple things mean so much. When he plays I sometimes catch myself watching him get all excited about something so simple. For example, the other day he was throwing rocks in the mud puddle and he thought it was the coolest thing ever. Or even pushing the button on a water fountain. Even when he takes a bath he loves to play with the cup and pour the water all over him. I used to love that, everyone did. Being a mom has helped me realize how quickly growing up changes your mind set. I used to love all of those things as a kid. It amazes me how we all can forget the things that truly made us happy at one point in our life. I cherish every moment watching him be truly happy about the silly things. I feel like the world has forgotten how easy it is to be happy... I could go on forever... I miss being a kid.. :(
