As not seen on TV. On 7 May 2014, hundreds of people from across South Yorkshire took part in the 6th weekly Freedom Ride. Hundreds of elderly and disabled people were faced with police who were ready to arrest them for accessing what they had thought was a public thoroughfare at Barnsley Interchange, a facility where thousands of members of the public are to be seen every week and which is run with the help of public subsidy to private rail companies. At 14.00pm today, South Yorkshire Passenger Transport Executive will be meeting 3 representatives from The Freedom Ride campaign at SYPTE HQ in Sheffield.
