Volkswagen Malaysia has declared war against us owners. They have no ethics or morals. They wash their hands clean, absolving themselves. They told me today.. They dont sell cars.. dealers do. So any problems it is the dealers fault. This kind of attitude is absolutely wrong. My case is probably not unique. There must be many others here who have suffered with a crap lemon of a car. We bought VW because we believed that germans have integrity and they have good engineering. This assumption is wrong! My car has blown two engines! The first time, they changed the engine under warranty. They stamped the engine number without getting it approved by JPJ. I only discovered to my horror, that they didnt comply with the laws of this country when my car failed Puspakom when I was selling it. Despite all their promises, nothing could be done because JPJ refused to approve it. To add insult to injury, my engine blew up AGAIN! This time, they promised to have it replaced with great urgency. Another bullshit. First engine change took 3 weeks. The second engine took 6 weeks! On top of that, they have yet to get approval from JPJ. So.. my buyer is pulling out, not that I can blame him. During my meeting with their Director of Aftersales, Torsten Krauel he promised that they will do everything they can to fix it. All empty promises. He also asked me what compensation I wanted. I told him, what I wanted and he said he will speak to his management. Again, a load of bull crap shite. Today, I get a call after chasing them constantly, and was told by Lynette who is suppose to be another person in charge of customer care, that VGM does not give compensation! I asked her why didnt they tell me this in the first place. She said that they wanted to ensure they fix the engine first. Another load of crap. I asked her, whose fault is it that the engine wasnt inspected, she said, VGM is not responsible. When pressed, she said that they do not sell cars. They dont fix the either. So it is the dealers fault! This passing the buck attitude pisses me off. Besides two engines blown, my car has had a clutch replaced and also the mechatronic replaced. The car has spent more than 3 months in total in the workshop. Note that my car is less than 50k mileage!
