As promised, in an effort to promote transparency, I am reporting - TopicsExpress

As promised, in an effort to promote transparency, I am reporting back on our meeting with Sinclair Broadcast Group and their associates from the network. We met with Members of the Sinclair Broadcast Group yesterday evening from 3:30am to nearly 6pm. At the end of the day without going into details, the NAACP and two local churches, one a mega church and the other with a small congregation who incidentally presented himself as having a sizable congregation to assert having a great deal of influence sold the citizens of SA out. That also includes the local NAACP, Mr. Oliver Hill. These people are fine with the besmirching of Dr. King Jr. Legacy and the fact that citizens are still hurting, wounding from this huge offense. Because of the position taken by Mr. Oliver Hill and these churches who are are backing the network in this matter, MIKE HERNANDEZ RETURNS TO THE AIR IN HIS REGULAR SLOT TONIGHT! If you are SERIOUS about pursuing this matter further, you have got to ACT. You must share this, you must continue to SIGN THE PETITION which can be signed ANONYMOUSLY, and you must go to the NETWORKS website, and FB Page and ask them NOT to bring MIKE HERNANDEZ back. The wounds are still open. This is too soon being that it has been less than 1 week since the COON calling. This sets a very bad precedence! (Dont believe me just watch)!! FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO ARE SITTING BACK IN THE CUT, with a watch and wait attitude, please know that if your dignity matters not to you, is matters even less to the powers that be. Moreover, there is strength in numbers. The petition stands at 158 or so which ridiculously low in a city that supposedly hosts the largest MLK March in the nation. (reportedly 175,000). Dr. King was not a docile man, but a deliberate man of action. Rosa Parks was just one, but she refused to give up her seat. There is no excuse for YOU, ME or any of us who have the luxury of protesting this from the comfort of your homes by signing an online petition[X]. We must redouble our efforts, we must CONTACT the NAACP Headquarters and let them know that the local NAACP is not working in the best interest of its citizens and that if we have memberships with them, we will abandon them as they have abandoned the interest of our people. We must ask our local politicians to act, with congressional hearings, as to why a company that holds a monopoly on our networks can abuse/target a certain minority demographic, we must reach out to the FCC and utilized the process that removed Howard Stern from the air for making racial slurs. We must organize and Protest in front of the building. We must not allow this matter to go unchecked!
