As the first day of Eid begins to wind down, lets take a moment to appreciate & thank those who REALLY make it happen. Those are our Women folk, our Mothers, Wives, Sisters, Daughters, Aunts - & the like, who often spend the weeks, & indeed the hours in the run up to Eid, planning, preparing, organising, & executing MANY back-breaking tasks. We very rarely appreciate or recognise the amount of effort that goes in. Often, when we sit for our Eid meal, surrounded with what can only be described as a feast, we seem to forget the COUNTLESS HOURS our Women folk put in, not only preparing the Food, but also the House for when visitors arrive. Preparing one Pot of Food alone can take HOURS, & we all know just how many different delicacies are prepared in our respective households! In some cases, our Women folk usually wont have the time to buy themselves something for Eid, as theyre too busy making sure the Family has a good time through the Food which they provide for them! Such is the sacrifice of our Mothers & Sisters! How many a time, will we ourselves, go Eid shopping to buy ourselves the latest Designer Clothes, yet how often do we ask our Mothers what theyd like for Eid? If tonight, you can take a moment to appreciate the Women folk in your Family, for the tremendous effort they put in, in ensuring you have a wonderful Eid, please do so. If it means helping with the Cooking so be it. If it means serving the Guests so be it. If it means washing the Dishes, so be it. If it means giving your Women folk a break so be it. Really & truly we can never give our Mothers a break, hence why Ive put break Lets show our Mothers & Women folk, they they are indeed appreciated, acknowledged, loved & respected for giving us a truly wonderful Eid! xXx
