As this war progresses and more blood is shed on both sides and the permanent damage is becoming more permanent to all parties, I want to share my state of mind as well. In a pretty typical Israeli manner, I find myself less and less preoccupied with emotional response to tragedy and increasingly determined to see this thru to the end. I think about how many we lost, but the pain feels too deep so I turn it off and instead there is a gaping emptiness created by the dead because I think of all Israel as my extended family and even of the Arabs as my cousins. I feel hardened tissue of a healing wound surrounding me as I look forward to end of terror era in the Land.... Maybe its only an illusion but it helps me today...
