As we observed World International Youth Day on August 12th, one cannot miss to highlight the fact that India is soon going to be a nation driven by youth, as 64 per cent of its population will be in the working age group by 2020. Living in a country having the largest number of youngsters in the world, the country has a huge opportunity ahead of it to harness the youth’s potentials. With the world celebrating the day, recognising efforts of the youth in enhancing global society, BJS has more reasons to celebrate the occasion as well. Continuing with its work in the social development sector, BJS has been in the process of taking concrete steps to collaborate with the youth for its various projects. In pursuit of the same, BJS had organised a youth meeting in Pune on 6th July 2014. The second youth meeting is going to be held on August 31st in Pune and with this, BJS plans to establish a youth cell in the city which will not only assist BJS in its already existing projects, but will also focus on addressing prime concerns of the youth. Let us harness the powerhouse of the nation, give them the right direction, and make them work wonders for the economy that percolate even to the lowest stratum of the society.
