I have now finished a make-the-mood-arcs-consistent-for-all-protagonists cleanup pass on my novel! I started this pass back in late July (though I took a couple of breaks from it in August and September), not expecting it to take nearly this long; so glad to be finally done with it. I still probably need another month to finish the third draft (so Im unlikely to achieve my goal of third draft by the end of October), but this is a major step. Ive worked on the book every day since the beginning of September (after missing a couple weeks in August); was only managing 5-10 minutes a day for some of September, but this month its been 30-60 minutes almost every day. Hoping I can keep that up. (Measuring in minutes instead of wordcount cause this pass has mostly been more about tweaking things than about adding new words. Total wordcount is now about 73k by word-processor count; almost exactly double the wordcount of the first draft, a couple years ago.)
