As we see repeatedly on the news, mans inhumanity to man, spousal abuse and child abuse, I am reminded of satans attacks on everything God made in His image. satan cannot stand anything that is good. He is the author of confusion, he hates love and those who love. THE GOOD NEWS IS HE IS ALREADY DEFEATED and we have the power to overcome the world through the power God has instilled in us through His Holy Spirit. It is good to reflect often on Gods Word to remind us that we are His and we can withstand the attacks of satan. God reminded me this morning that though we are in this world, we are not of this world. We have the victory through Christ who saves us: - 1 John 4:5 They are of the world. Therefore they speak as of the world, and the world hears them. 6 We are of God. He who knows God hears us; he who is not of God does not hear us. By this we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error. 7 Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. 8 He who does not love does not know God, for God is love.
