As we support families in hospitals, we see what happens on the other side of the door as medical staff struggles for answers when a baby dies, feeling a myriad of emotions. Weve had the privilege of holding an exhausted nurse in our arms as she lets out the carefully held back tears for her patient and for the baby...gone too soon. One they couldnt save. This isnt what they signed up for to work in OB....they want life...celebration. Not loss without words. Not this devastation. The beautiful article below shares a nurses perspective. I have found her words to be true for many of the nurses we walk alongside as we minister to parents. We just want to say...thank you for what you do, amazing caregivers.
