At a Capitol news conference today the Housing Alliance of Pennsylvania pledged their support for my legislation to help alleviate a housing shortage in the southeast region of the state and all across the Commonwealth while creating jobs and generating much-needed state revenue. House Bill 2434, which I am sponsoring, proposes to expand the Housing Trust Fund with money generated from the existing Realty Transfer Tax. The funding will leverage private sector investment to clean up communities and increase the availability of affordable housing without raising taxes.
