At the end of August we start choreographing the routines and working with our competitive team. Theres nervousness, anticipation, and excitement as new choreography is set on the dancers. Then the hard work begins. Hours upon hours of turns, leaps, and working the pieces over and over. Then the competition season begins and the work continues. There are disappointments, surprises, and those rare moments when you see a dancer or dancers truly step into the spotlight for the first time. It all culminates with nationals - all the hard work, endless hours, and sacrificed birthday parties. You go up against some of the best studios in the country and hope you hold that balance, pointe your toes hard enough, and dont miss your tap sounds. Well - this year we did hold our balances, pointe our toes hard enough, and hit all our tap sounds. Congratulations to competitive edge on an outstanding season that just got better and better. You can enjoy your summer knowing that hard work is rewarded and, on behalf of the entire staff, we couldnt be prouder of your dancing, your spirit, and your true teamwork.
