At the end of this long work day, finishing scripts, rehearsing new shows, looking for new music with Voice, Actually, with a pleasant and loving nurturing gesture in between ( thank you Dolly Popley and Rasmus van Canosen ), my thought goes to one year ago, day of death of Claudio Abbado. And sharing this post from Voice, Actually, my mind goes to my first job ever in an opera theater. 1994, Le Nozze di Figaro @ Ferrara Musica. Straight from Conservatory to a stellar cast and a dream team to work for and with, and above all to learn from. And boy, did I learn!!! I thought I had studied everything I could on books. I learned more in those 2 months then in all the years before. Other productions happened, and I had more than one time the chance to be part of that dream again. But you never forget the first time! The passion, the devotion, the almost sacrality of music and its enourmous capacity to elevate the human spirit. So long Maestro. Thank you again.
