Kansas City Royals placed RHP Wade Davis on the daily emergency leave list. The Royals recalled LHP Will Smith & catcher Brett Hayes from Triple-A Omaha. Los Angeles Angels sign Dontrelle Willis to a Minor League contract. Houston Astros recalled RHP Brad Peacock from Triple-A Oklahoma City. Los Angeles Dodgers optioned outfielder Scott Van Slyke to Triple-A Alburquerque. Washington Nationals placed RHP Ross Ohlendorf on the 15-day DL because of right shoulder inflammation. The Nationals recalled LHP Xavier Cedeno from Triple-A Syracuse.
