August 10th was a night like no other, I will never forget it... my youngest was stung by a bee and had a severe reaction. The ride to the Hospital was one Ill never Forget ! We arrived with mins to spare. his little eyes and lips were so swollen. I was in a panic of not knowing what would happen to my baby. Two doses of epinephrine, tons of benedryl, steroids, three days in the hospital and several allergist appointments later we find that he is in fact allergic to every type of bee out there . At a doctors stand point Brisen had a very impressive reaction... which is bad news for us. As of today his immune therapy treatments start. Doctors think by the end of this immune therapy Brisen could be free of all bee allergies. But this will not be a short process... he starts today and for the next 4 to 6 months he will go in once a week and receive 3 shots after the 6 months he will go in once a month for 5 years.. we are hopeful that this will be what he needs to over come this severe allergy.. positive vibes are very much appreciated :)
