Australia was 517 for 7 wickets at close of the 2nd day of the Adelaide Cricket Test. This reminds me of a cricket match I played in for a local club team when I was in school in Allahabad. My team batted first, and was all out for 1 run. Seeing us crestfallen, the umpire came to us and asked us why we were so dejected. We replied that the match was as good as lost. He said why are you worried ? I am here. All you have to do is that when your bowler bowls the ball, you should all shout Hows that ?, and then leave the rest to me. Accordingly, when our bowler bowled the first ball, which was hit for a boundary by the batsman, we all shouted Hows that ? , and the umpire promptly lifted his finger, indicating out . At this the batsman stared angrily at the umpire, and shouted How out ? The umpire said sternly Judgment is judgment ., and the batsman walked back to the pavilion in a huff, shaking his head in anger. When the next ball was bowled, the umpire repeated the same performance, and he kept on doing so, until the whole team was all out for zero.
