Australian architecture students learn about the UN’s design A group of 21 students received a personalised briefing about the UN Headquarters’ architectural history and how the renovations have remained true to the original design while using the latest 21st century technology. The briefing was given by Mr. Werner Schmidt, Public Information Officer for the UN Capital Master Plan. The architecture students were from The University of Adelaide, South Australia and also took a tour of UN Headquarters. “The students really enjoyed their visit to the UN and appreciated learning more about the UN’s architecture and design from Mr Schmidt,” said Dr Susan Shannon, Senior Lecturer at the University of Adelaide who accompanied the students.
