Awesome weekend. On Saturday night I had the most unusual thing occur. As I was dozing off, right in that period of haze before drifting into unconsciousness I was watching the light changes that are common due to retinal detachment and the laser tracking. As if a cartoon were being projected at the film of tissue that is the human retina I saw a cartoon appear before my closed eyes. Its was Pinocchio. It was as if my brain called up a memory from my past, a cartoon with the puppet Pinocchio walking down a forest lane with forest creatures all around. It lasted for about fifteen seconds then it was gone. I thought that is cool. Then it occurred to me. I have grown very curious about the retina and its usage since I had retinal detachment. The retina is a light sensitive material that collects visible light or weighted radio and then sends that information directly to the brain through electrical and chemical impulses. Could it be possible to reverse the flow and develop a high intensity radio or cellular signal that could use the retina as a internal heads up display? That would give new meaning to direct television. Of course you would have to also create a sound path. I suppose you could tap into the auditory canal and send a voice path along the same carrier wave or cellular signal. But it would probably be a good a idea to let the customer know or else you might send then to the psych with a desperate attempt to make the voices stop. If he does not know you are receiving broadcast radio transfusions then he might prescribe a halide compound for schizophrenic behavior. Of course, if you were to add to that whole complex of idea the notion that others could interpret your thought patterns then the occasional sound of a fire truck or ens might be the work if a cleverly positioned dr. Evil take down campaign. The fire department might be trying to send a secret message just to you from the road that makes you think its over, your officially cracking up. Now that would be a experiment in psychological operations. Who knows you might have radio hoax suggestions whisper in your ear, your a donkey, your a donkey, your a donkey, or worse, your a girl donkey and the world is waiting to take advantage of you.
