BARINGO TO BE AMONG THE TOP FOUR BY 2017, says Moi By #BCNcorrespondent Baringo County Senator Gideon Moi believes that, with devolution, Baringo county can perform and is going to be one of the best counties at the end of their tenure. Speaking on Monday at Lake Bigoria SPA Resort during the launch of Baringo County Assemblys 2014-17 strategic plan and standing orders, the senator cited the countys resource endowment and potential of growth as the best. We have plenty of natural resources like oil, diatomite, flora and fauna, geothermal potential which if exploited, the county can accrue huge revenue, he said. Moi noted that Baringo is on the right track and whoever thinks that devolution is not doing any good should take a look on the countys health sector. The difference between Baringos health services now and before devolution is like day and night. Research has proved that devolution is the best mode of service delivery to mwananchi, noted Moi. He added that the Senate and the county governments have to work together for the sake of nurturing and bringing devolution to reality. The even that was graced by the Speaker to The Senate Him Ekwe Ethuro saw a handful of leaders defend devolution saying it is there to stay and is of benefit to the common mwananchi.
