BE A SHINING LIGHT Luke 11:35-37 – “Therefore take heed that the light which is in you is not darkness. If then your whole body is full of light, having no part dark, the whole body will be full of light, as when the bright shining of a lamp gives you light.” We live in a world where many things have an opposite - front and back, good and bad, black and white. Just as there are two sides to a coin, light is the opposite of darkness. Darkness stands for the world of falsehood and light stands for the world of truth. Darkness could be sickness, failure, poverty, anything that is the cause of your worry and anxiety in your life. But we are not here to get used to the dark; we are here to be a shining light. When you accept Jesus – the way, the truth and the life – you accept light. Those who by sin were darkness, by the grace of God Almighty became light in the Lord. Prayer: Let there be light.
