BE YE HEAVENLY MINDED, AND NOT BEING GOVERN BY THE PRINCIPLES OF THIS WORLD, IN SEEKING FIRST THE THINGS OF HEAVENLY KINGDOM, BECAUSE WE ARE BORN OF GOD AS A TRUE BORN AGAIN CHRISTIAN. Rom:8:14-16: For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God. For [the Spirit which] you have now received [is] not a spirit of slavery to put you once more in bondage to fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption [the Spirit producing sonship] in [the bliss of] which we cry, Abba (Father)! Father! The Spirit Himself [thus] testifies together with our own spirit, [assuring us] that we are children of God. Col:3:1-4:IF THEN you have been raised with Christ [to a new life, thus sharing His resurrection from the dead], aim at {and} seek the [rich, eternal treasures] that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. And set your minds {and} keep them set on what is above (the higher things), not on the things that are on the earth. For [as far as this world is concerned] you have died, and your [new, real] life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, Who is our life, appears, then you also will appear with Him in [the splendor of His] glory. WHERE WE LAY OUR TREASURE WILL DETERMINE WHERE OUR HEARTS WILL BE. Matt:6:19-21:Do not gather {and} heap up {and} store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust {and} worm consume {and} destroy, and where thieves break through and steal. But gather {and} heap up {and} store for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust {nor} worm consume {and} destroy, and where thieves do not break through and steal; For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. ALTHOUGH, WE ARE IN THE WORLD,BUT WE ARE NOT OF THE WORLD. PEOPLE OF THE WORLD ARE MINDFUL OF WORLDLY WAY OF THINKING BUT WE, AS A TRUE BORN AGAIN CHRISTIAN, ARE NOT DRIVEN BY WORLDLY PRINCIPLES. 1John:2:15-17:Do not love {or} cherish the world or the things that are in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world--the lust of the flesh [craving for sensual gratification] and the lust of the eyes [greedy longings of the mind] and the pride of life [assurance in ones own resources or in the stability of earthly things]--these do not come from the Father but are from the world [itself]. And the world passes away {and} disappears, and with it the forbidden cravings (the passionate desires, the lust) of it; but he who does the will of God and carries out His purposes in his life abides (remains) forever. THAT IS WHY THE BIBLE MADE IT KNOWN TO US THAT OUR PRIORITY IN LIFE IS TO SEEK FIRST THE KINGDOM OF BOD AND HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS.Matt:6:31-34:Therefore do not worry {and} be anxious, saying, What are we going to have to eat? or, What are we going to have to drink? or, What are we going to have to wear? For the Gentiles (heathen) wish for {and} crave {and} diligently seek all these things, and your heavenly Father knows well that you need them all. But seek (aim at and strive after) first of all His kingdom and His righteousness (His way of doing and being right), and then all these things taken together will be given you besides. So do not worry {or} be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will have worries {and} anxieties of its own. Sufficient for each day is its own trouble. THE WORLDLY FRIENDSHIP IS AN ENMITY WITH GOD BECAUSE OF ACTS OF UNBELIEF. James:4:4 You [are like] unfaithful wives [having illicit love affairs with the world and breaking your marriage vow to God]! Do you not know that being the worlds friend is being Gods enemy? So whoever chooses to be a friend of the world takes his stand as an enemy of God. WORLDY THINKING IS AN ENEMY OF THE CROSS:Phil:3:18 For there are many, of whom I have often told you and now tell you even with tears, who walk (live) as enemies of the cross of Christ (the Anointed One). They are doomed {and} their fate is eternal misery (perdition); their god is their stomach (their appetites, their sensuality) and they glory in their shame, siding with earthly things {and} being of their party. But we are citizens of the state (commonwealth, homeland) which is in heaven, and from it also we earnestly {and} patiently await [the coming of] the Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah) [as] Savior, Who will transform {and} fashion anew the body of our humiliation to conform to {and} be like the body of His glory {and} majesty, by exerting that power which enables Him even to subject everything to Himself. WE HAVE BEING RISEN WITH CHRIST AND SEATED IN HEAVENLY PLACES, SO THEREFORE, OUR WAYS OF LIVING WILL BE BY HEAVENLY KINGDOM PRINCIPLES, AND NOT BY THE WORLDLY THINKING MENTALITY. Eph:2:4-6: But God--so rich is He in His mercy! Because of {and} in order to satisfy the great {and} wonderful {and} intense love with which He loved us, Even when we were dead (slain) by [our own] shortcomings {and} trespasses, He made us alive together in fellowship {and} in union with Christ; [He gave us the very life of Christ Himself, the same new life with which He quickened Him, for] it is by grace (His favor and mercy which you did not deserve) that you are saved (delivered from judgment and made partakers of Christs salvation). And He raised us up together with Him and made us sit down together [giving us joint seating with Him] in the heavenly sphere [by virtue of our being] in Christ Jesus (the Messiah, the Anointed One). AS WE ARE IN CHRIST, WE HAVE BEING MADE SUPERIOR FAR ABOVE ALL PRINCIPALITIES, AND WE ARE COMPLETE IN CHRIST.Col:2:9 For in Him the whole fullness of Deity (the Godhead) continues to dwell in bodily form [giving complete expression of the divine nature]. And you are in Him, made full {and} having come to fullness of life [in Christ you too are filled with the Godhead--Father, Son and Holy Spirit--and reach full spiritual stature]. And He is the Head of all rule and authority [of every angelic principality and power]. In Him also you were circumcised with a circumcision not made with hands, but in a [spiritual] circumcision [performed by] Christ by stripping off the body of the flesh (the whole corrupt, carnal nature with its passions and lusts). [Thus you were circumcised when] you were buried with Him in [your] baptism, in which you were also raised with Him [to a new life] through [your] faith in the working of God [as displayed] when He raised Him up from the dead. WE ARE TO EQUIP OUR MIND WITH WHAT OUR HEAVENLY FATHER HAS DONE FOR OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST, AS BEEN MADE AVAILABLE FOR IS IN THIS WORLD. AS CHRIST IS IN HEAVEN. SO TOO ARE WE IN THIS WORLD, FAR ABOVE PRINCIPALITIES AND POWER. Eph:1:20-21: Which He exerted in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His [own] right hand in the heavenly [places], Far above all rule and authority and power and dominion and every name that is named [above every title that can be conferred], not only in this age {and} in this world, but also in the age {and} the world which are to come. AS WE SET OUR MINDSET ON THE THINGS OF HEAVENLY KINGDOM PRINCIPLE, IT WILL DISPEL AND OUST EVERY WORRIES AND ANXIETY THAT ARE TRYING TO SHORT CIRCUIT OUR FAITH. KNOWING WHOM WE ARE IN CHRIST, WHICH IS OUR IDENTITY, AND KNOWING WHAT WE HAVE ALREADY IN CHRIST, WHICH IS OUR INHERITANCE, AND KNOWING WHAT WE CAN DO THROUGH CHRIST BY THE HOLY SPIRIT, WHICH IS OUR ABILITY, THEN, WE WONT BE GOVERN BY THE PRINCIPLES OF THIS WORLD.
