***BEAUTIFUL BARBRA NEEDS AN ANGEL TONIGHT!*** A volunteer writes: Barbra and Nivea, two lovely girls, were found together but abandoned. Barbra is a little mousy, shy . She does let me put on her though a pretty coat that is quite difficult to snap... She showed patience and trust in me although I was having some difficulties... She must have thought to herself: what is this silly human doing? Barbra does look quite elegant in her black and white coat. She has a serious little face and is a bit aloof at the beginning of our encounter. She has a decent weight but her coat is matte and sparse by places. Barbra walks well on the leash, no pulling. She does eliminate in the street and meets other dogs in a peaceful way. Barbra is very eager for treats although she does not snatch them out of my hands. She lights up when she sees the ball and leaps in the air to catch it. I can take it away from her but she would prefer, I think to keep it for herself. I guess, Barbra needs teaching in this department. She definitiely opened up after the ball game and suddenly transformed into a lap dog and a kisser. Barbra and I had become friends... Barbra is at the Manhattan Care Center.
