BEIRUT - The Chairmen of the World Council of Arameans (Syriacs) & the Federation of the Arameans in Germany, Johny Messo & Daniyel Demir, just completed their visit in Lebanon to our beloved Syriac Orthodox Patriarch, H.H. Mor Ignatius Aphrem II. In the last three days, they exchanged many hours on discussing possible solutions and strategies for the survival of the Aramean people in the homelands during these critical days; we worked together on a letter which the Patriarch sent to the United Nations Security Council; yesterday we also briefly met with the Patriarchs of the Maronite, Syriac Catholic, Greek (Melkite) Orthodox, Greek (Melkite) Catholic, Armenian Orthodox and Armenian Catholic churches; we spent good time with their Eminences Hasyo George Saliba, Hasyo Daniel Kourieh, Hasyo Jean Kawak, the Indian Thirumeni and Hasyo Timotheos Mathews Karimpanackal; and we enjoyed our time with Dayroye Joseph, Augin and Kyrillos. Finally, after we just finished our lunch in downtown Beirut, we just bumbed into our friend Severiyos Adn, the Vice-Chairman of our Federation of the Arameans in Switzerland and Chairmen of Aramaic Relief that works on humanitarian aid to our people in Lebanon and Syria. :)
