****BEST LOOKING LOOKING FOR A NEW HOME**** A volunteer writes: Boom! Boom! Boom! Not quite sure if a high school marching band had infiltrated the care center I just had to figure out where that sound was coming from. Lo and behold, it was Grover! His tail was enthusiastically beating at the back of his kennel, sounding more like a bass drum then the tiny pup that he is. When I opened his door, Grover timidly came out of his kennel. As we passed dogs on our way out, Grover displayed very submissive body language, his ears back, lower to the ground and a soft tail wag. Once out of the care center, his enthusiasm began to show and Grover became a bit more excited to be out. Let loose in the yard, Grover likes to stay close, hes much more interested in what his new friend is doing, than exploring the open space. When I tossed a ball, he readily pounced on it, but not quite sure of what to do with it, he lost interest pretty quickly. He was back at my side eagerly looking up at me, almost as if to say, Ok, what next? Realizing that Grover was more of a cuddle up beside you kind of dog, I sat on the bench, where he promptly joined me. As I petted him, and tugged at his ears, I couldnt help but be reminded of a silky blanket. Seemingly larger than his face would allow, Grovers ears jut out in all directions. As I sat there pondering his adorableness, I gently kissed him on the head. Wherein, a game of tic tac kiss ensued. First I would kiss him, then he would kiss me and so on and so forth. Really, the game could have gone on and on all night, both of us winners, but it was getting late, and begrudgingly I had to take him back inside. Grover needs a person who will be able to cuddle him for eternity. https://facebook/Urgentdeathrowdogs/photos/a.611290788883804.1073741851.152876678058553/871573262855554/?type=3&theater
