BIG CHANGES For The C.A.R.C. https://modcoupes/ CARC members and guests (Including Jim Nordhougen and John Witthar from CNS and former I-25 track owner Perry White) that attended the 2015 and Beyond Car Rules meeting were witness to significant changes in the way the Club does business. After a very disappointing Election Meeting, the CARC Board of Directors declared an emergency situation and took immediate steps to move the Club into the future. STEP ONE - APPOINT NEW LEADERSHIP The Executive Board is now composed of 3 members. The Board of Directors is gone ....replaced by a dedicated group of non-voting advisors/consultants. Executive Board: PRESIDENT: Bob Land VICE-PRESIDENT: Matt Pierce SEC/TREAS: Glenda Bredeson Advisors/Consultants: Car Rules: Frank Denning III, Cris Muhler, John Stepanich Tech Inspector: John Woods & an assistant (to be determined) Website: Mike Magee, Mike Wood Track Liaison/Schedule: Jason Bunt, Bob Land By-Laws Rewrite: Theron Bredeson, Jack Starr A meeting to FORMALLY elect this leadership will be held on Wednesday. December 3rd @ 7pm at Red & Jerrys. STEP TWO - IMPLEMENT NEW CAR RULES Gone is the Car Owner Voting process...replaced by a set of rules developed by Frank Denning III and Cris Muhler and approved by the CARC Executive Board. These rules are designed to tighten competition on the racetrack and ultimately increase car count by reducing overall costs. This is a 5-year rules package that allows current cars to compete in 2015 (with minor changes) and mandates a standardized engine package in 2016 and beyond. The tire rule used in 2014 has worked well and will remain part of the rules package. STANDARDIZE CAR RULES For ALL CARS at CNS CNS has agreed to formally adopt the CARC Car Rules as the CNS Modified Coupe Rules. All cars competing in the Modified Coupe class at CNS must meet these rules. CARC tech will still be responsible for post-race tech.
